During the spookiest month of the year, hop aboard the No Hope After Dark train ride in New Hope for a frightfully fun experience, writes Stacey Leasca for Travel + Leisure.

New Hope Railroad’s haunting train ride takes riders through eastern Pennsylvania woodlands on a 100-minute journey that is guaranteed to have you jumping out of your seat several times.

“Our train will depart from New Hope to our festival at the unknown, where you will venture through our brand-new haunted maze, where live actors lurk around every twisted turn,” states the ride’s website.

The ride includes an ax-wielding menace, witches, goblins, and several ghouls for good measure.

Still, “Fear not!” as the website adds. “The night isn’t solely about screams and shivers. Many nights beckon with food trucks offering a delicious escape from the fright and live music casting enchanting tunes under the moonlit sky, bringing a lively respite for the brave at heart.”

The Halloween train runs from October 6 through October 31. And while some of the activities are more light-hearted, it is recommended that all guests are 13 years old or older.
