An upcoming Teacher Workshop in Washington Crossing will help local educators learn important facts about the county’s wildlife.

Officials from the Delaware Canal State Park and the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will be hosting a “PA Songbirds Educator Workshop” on Oct. 9 from 9 AM – 3:30 PM. The interactive lecture will be held at Buckstone Farm, located at 1200 Taylorsville Road in Washington Crossing.

“Join our education staff as we share the magic of teaching about birds,” event organizers said online.

“Birds provide a connection to all themes within the classroom creating opportunities for crosscutting concepts. Throughout the day we will model lessons and spend time outside to demonstrate best practices when it comes to teaching outdoors.”

The workshop is designed for educators who focus on students from the fourth to the eighth grade. Despite this, interested attendees do not need to be formal educators to attend this workshop.

Known for its parks and beautiful outdoor areas, Bucks County is known for being home to a wide array of birds and other wildlife.
