A Bucks County organization specializing in the study of animals has just announced a new member being added to their ranks.

The Bucks County Audubon Society has named Michael Celic as their new Executive Director. He was previously the director of the Union Library Company of Hatborough. He holds a BA in English Literature from Temple University and a Masters in Library and Information Science from Drexel University.

“Michael has held a variety of roles in the education and nonprofit worlds, from the theater to higher education,” the society said online.

The society also commended outgoing Executive Director Mary Jo May, who is stepping into a new role.

“(…) all best wishes to her as she moves forward to further adventures, old and new.”

The society is keeping itself busy for 2023. The organization will be hosting an exhibit of local nature photography focusing on the area’s avian species in the near future.
