A township in Bucks County is getting ready for the Halloween season, and local residents can celebrate early with their own costumes.

Lower Makefield Township, in collaboration with the township’s Parks and Recreations department is hosting a costume party later today at the Lower Makefield Township Community Center. The annual “Monster Mash” will be held on Oct. 6 from 6 – 9 PM.

Activities at the Monster Mash will include a dance party, costume contest, various Halloween crafts, “Spooky Sensory Stations”, pumpkin decorating, and concessions. The later two activities will be available for purchase.

“Come in Costume and get ready to boogie!” the township said online.

This will be just one of many Halloween festivities to take place in the near future.

The Historic Bolton Mansion, located at 85 Holly Drive in Levittown, will be hosting “Boo at Bolton” on Oct. 21 from 11 AM – 4 PM. A mixture of a food truck festival and trick-or-treat opportunity for local children, the event is being co-hosted by Mommy’s Lil’ Black Book.
