Bucks County Craft Ice Company Relocates Headquarters to Texas, Announces New CEO

Lux Ice, a company that operated out of Morrisville for some time, is moving out of state as its business continues to expand. Ryan Mulligan wrote about the company’s updates for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The company announced that it will be moving to Dallas, Texas for a larger manufacturing facility. The owners also announced that Michael Crouse, who has held executive roles at Kraft Heinz, Frito Lay, and Tyson Foods, will take over as CEO, with founder and current CEO Shawn Kilcoyne becoming chairman.
The company makes spheres of ice that are intended to last longer in drinks rather than dilute them like other traditional options. Lux Ice is angling to become a mainstay in both the beverage and cocktail industries throughout the country.
The company first announced it was raising a Series A back in December. At that time, the round was already oversubscribed and had exceeded its max end of just over $2 million.
Once the manufacturing facilities in Texas are up and running, the company will look to further expand its facilities on the East and West coasts in 2024.
