An art gallery in Bucks County is one again extending a show that highlights works created by a legendary rock band’s late frontman.

Arete Gallery, located at 122 South Main Street in New Hope, will continue to show the artwork of Jerry Garcia, the late frontman of the Grateful Dead. The show originally ran from Aug. 1 – 9 and was extended into further weeks due to popular demand.

Jerry Garcia is still with us this weekend!” the art gallery said on Facebook. “Stop in and hear the BIG NEWS.”

The original dates of the art show paid homage to the late musician’s life. Garcia was born on Aug. 1, 1942, in San FranciscoCalifornia, and passed away on Aug. 9, 1995, in Forest Knolls, California at the age of 53.

Since his death, his band has regrouped under different names, the most recent iteration being Dead & Company, which saw singer and guitarist John Mayer fill in for the late frontman.

Back in May, the gallery hosted a photography exhibit by May Pang, a former music executive from New York City who was in a relationship with Beatles member John Lennon from 1973 to 1975.
