An art gallery in Bucks County is extending a show that highlights works created by one of rock music’s most beloved frontmen.

Arete Gallery, located at 122 South Main Street in New Hope, will continue to show the artwork of Jerry Garcia, the late frontman of the Grateful Dead, until Aug. 14. The show originally ran from Aug. 1 – 9 and is being extended due to popular demand. The gallery features several artistic creations made by the late frontman, who manned the helm of the group for close to 30 years.

“As we celebrate ‘The Days Between’ the team here is thrilled to honor not only his musical expertise but his creative spirit, it fills you with energy as soon as you walk in,” the gallery said online. “Come join us in Jerry’s living room.”

The original dates of the art show paid homage to the late musician’s life. Garcia was born on Aug. 1, 1942, in San FranciscoCalifornia, and passed away on Aug. 9, 1995, in Forest Knolls, California at the age of 53.

Since his death, his band has regrouped under different names, the most recent iteration being Dead & Company, which saw singer and guitarist John Mayer fill in for the late frontman.
