An organization in Bucks County is giving a shoutout to a resident who now has as an easy means of transportation.

The Bucks County Opportunity Council, located at 100 Doyle Street in Doylestown, regularly donates cars to residents in need through its Wheelz2Work program. Its most recent recipient, Alivia, is very excited to now have a car of her own, describing it as “a dream come true!”

“She told us she was taking the scenic way home to enjoy her new ride!” the organization said online. “Alivia will use her car to drive to her full-time job as a medical assistant and keep up with her kids’ activities, school, and health needs!”

The Bucks County Opportunity Council regularly works with members of the community who are in need of help. It is part of a national network of over 1,000 agencies established in 1965 as part of President Lyndon Johnson’s War on Poverty.
