The Bucks County group worked with Philadelphia nonprofits to feed local residents.

A Bucks County organization recently made a donation to a nearby nonprofit in order to help those facing hard times.

The Bucks County Opportunity Council, located at 100 Doyle Street in Doylestown, recently collaborated with the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, Derstine’s, Inc., and the Share Food Program in order to collect food for those in need in the area.

The Bucks County organization makes regular deliveries of food to the federation’s Mitzvah Food Program’s pantry in Bensalem. The food then goes out to local residents facing food insecurity and other lifestyle changes.

“These provisions were distributed to 67 families,” the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia said online.

Those who wish to assist the organizations’ combined efforts can volunteer at Congregation Tifereth Israel, located at 2909 Bristol Road in Bensalem.

The Bucks County Opportunity Council regularly works with members of the community who are in need of help. This recent food donation was one of many actions they are taking to help those living in the area.
