C&N, a financial services company, has donated $10,000 to Bucks County Opportunity Council through the Neighborhood Assistance Program.

For more than half a century, Bucks County Opportunity Council has been serving the area’s low income families by providing them with assistance when in crisis. To this end it garners resources to help them achieve a livable wage, finds opportunities for additional education and training, and helps them work towards economic self-sufficiency.

The donation will support the Economic Self Sufficiency Program provided by the Opportunity Council. The funds will pay for a bilingual Economic Self-Sufficiency coach who will work with 25 new families who live in the Warminster area. The coach is particularly qualified to work with the Hispanic population.

Opportunity Council believes that the families will make significant progress towards self-sufficiency which will hopefully be reflected in increased income and improved skills, as well as a more balanced budget.

“We are grateful for C&N’s continued partnership in our work,” said Erin Lukoss, Executive Director/CEO. “This donation affords BCOC the valuable resource of a bilingual coach to reach our Latino community members and help them achieve economic self-sufficiency.”
