The Newtown Theater in Bucks County will be hosting the current incarnation of classic rock band in Humble Pie in mid-September.

The Newtown Theatre, located at 120 N. State Street in Newtown Borough, will be hosting the current incarnation of classic rock band Humble Pie on Sept. 16 at 8 PM. Staged as “Jerry Shirley Presents: Humble Pie Legacy – 50 Years of Smokin’,” the band was handpicked by original Humble Pie drummer Jerry Shirley as they tour America.

“Having spent a long time carefully putting together this band of top-class players with the help of Dave ‘Bucket’ Colwell, I’m thrilled with the outcome and can’t wait to see and hear them light up the live stage,” Shirley said of the tour.

While he will not be partaking in the tour, founding guitarist Peter Frampton said that he would “wholeheartedly support this venture.”

When Humble Pie emerged a half-century ago, they led the way as the heavy harbingers of a new generation of organic, hard-hitting blues-rock.

Tickets are available at The Newtown Theatre for $40 per person or $35 for theatre members. Any remaining tickets will be sold for $50 at the door on the night of the show (if available). All seating is general admission and beer, wine, and canned cocktails will be available for purchase at the theatre before and during the show.
