Having had a busy summer full of student learning and campus enhancements, Center School in Abington is now gearing up for its 35th academic year.

“Our summer program was incredibly successful,” said Head of School Mindy Wawrzyniak. “It was wonderful to see all of the students smiling and forging new friendships over the past several weeks.”

In addition to the summer learning and enrichment program, Center School has seen a number of facility improvements, including new flooring in the lower school hallway and new desks and chairs in every classroom.

“We are also excited to announce the expansion of our Makers Space, which will become a fully interactive Innovation Lab,” said Wawrzyniak. “The lab will house hydroponic walls, portable ClearTouch boards, integrated VR goggles, new 3D printers, new iPads, and a variety of other STEM-related tools.”

Center School has always believed that giving students access to various media enhances and supports learning.

Center School is also launching its Center for Learning, which will be a hub for professional speakers, parent workshops, and professional development and serve as a resource for families, professionals, and community members. Creating this hub fortifies Center School’s commitment to its students and the community in continuing to be the area’s leader in specialized education for children with dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, and other educational gaps.

Center School’s admissions department has also been busy in preparation for the fall.

“While space in certain grades is limited, we are accepting applications for the upcoming school year,” said Admissions Director Tiffany Getz. “I invite any interested families or community members to visit our campus and learn more about Center School.”

Center School extends its warm wishes to all families and students, hoping for a joyous end to the summer and a successful start to the school year.
