Earlier this year, the group hosted performances of Edward Albee’s “A Delicate Balance,” which began on Jan. 27 and ended on Feb. 12.

Newtown Arts Company and the Newtown Theatre have teamed up to create Master Class Monday, an arts-education series with an emphasis on theater and film.

This eight-class series runs on Mondays from Sept. 25 – Dec. 4. Separate classes are offered for students aged 10 – 14 and adults (high school and up) with an interest in learning new skills, honing current skills, or just having fun with like-minded people.

Each session is limited to 25 participants and will focus on a different area of performance, production, or creative expression. Instructors are all industry professionals from New York, Philadelphia, or Bucks County, including Thayne Jasperson, original and current cast member of Broadway’s “Hamilton.”

Sessions include “Improv 101,” “Basic Makeup for Theatre and Film,” “Broadway Dance,” “Monologue Preparation,” and “Musical Theatre Performance” among others.

The cost is $250 per registrant for the entire eight-week series. All classes are held at the Newtown Theatre, located at 120 North State Street in Newtown Borough
