Langhorne-based Woods System of Care is set to become the parent company of Bridgeway Behavioral Health Services of Union in North Jersey, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The financial terms of the deal, which is subject to approval by New Jersey regulatory agencies, were not disclosed.
The proposed affiliation has been approved by the boards of both organizations.
“Woods and Bridgeway have explored an affiliation over the past several years,” said Tine Hansen-Turton, president and CEO of Wood System of Care and its Woods Services and Woods Resources divisions. “With the approval of our boards, we are a step closer to partnering to expand programs significantly over the coming years to serve [more] individuals with behavioral health care needs in New Jersey.”
Woods System of Care is a provider of lifetime integrated services to those with autism, intellectual disabilities, and mental health challenges. If the deal is approved, it will grow to 6,500 employees serving almost 27,000 individuals. Currently, the organization has a staff of 6,000.
