A hospital in Bucks County has announced a new healthcare center, which came to be through a major collaboration with another organization. Ed Doyle wrote about the new center in TAP Into Doylestown.

Doylestown Hospital recently collaborated with the Lenape Valley Foundation in order to set up a new behavioral crisis center on the Doylestown campus.

Already receiving around $10 million from state and county grants, as well as the Bucks County’s Opioid Settlement Advisory Committee, the new center is expected to open some time in 2024. Their focus will be on treating those experiencing issues with mental health, drug and alcohol use, and intellectual disabilities.

“This new center will vastly improve the quality of care for children and adults experiencing a behavioral health crisis,” said Sharon Curran, the CEO of the Lenape Valley Foundation.

“The clinical teams working at this center will provide comprehensive stabilization in a state-of-the-art environment.”
