Those eligible and interested have until Nov. 8 at 4:30 PM to apply to the Middletown Township Police Department.

A police department in Bucks County is offering residents the opportunity to learn about the ins and outs of being on the force.

The Bristol Township Police, headquartered at 2501 Bath Road in Bristol, will begin their Citizen Police Academy for Fall of 2023 from Sept. 21 – Nov. 30.

“This program is an educational, hands-on opportunity for eligible township residents to learn about the law enforcement profession through the eyes of Bristol Township Police,” the department said online.

“Attendees will have the opportunity to experience a diverse curriculum, attend demonstrations, participate in guided discussions, and create lasting connections with officers and fellow classmates!”

Applications will be accepted via email or in-person starting Aug. 1. The deadline to apply is Aug. 18. Classes are held weekly from 7 – 9 PM every Thursday at the Bristol Township Senior Center.

A PDF of the application can be found here. This will be a wonderful opportunity to learn about being a part of the police force.
