The event gave children the opportunity to learn a fun skill.

Several organizations in Bucks County recently came together in an effort to teach the area’s youngest citizens how to ride their bikes.

TMA Bucks, headquartered at 7 Neshaminy Interplex in Trevose, recently held a bicycle safety event at Veterans Park in Newtown. The event was a collaboration between the transportation service, the Newtown Township Police Department, and Bike Works, a bike shop that has locations in Newtown and Doylestown.

Stephen Noll, the executive director of TMA Bucks, was also present at the event.

Families gathered at the local park, where officials from all three organizations and businesses helped aid children in their attempts to learn how to ride a bike.

“TMA Bucks, which hopes to develop more driver safety programs for teens and senior citizens in Bucks County through the foundation, has distributed scholarships to Bucks County high school seniors since 2009 through the TMA Bucks Scholarship Fund,” the organization said online.
