The Bucks County government has partnered with a local education organization to ensure all residents have the opportunity to find work.

Working alongside the Bucks County Intermediate Unit, officials from the local government were acknowledged for their work with Project SEARCH, which aims to help local residents with disabilities find jobs well-suited for them.

“The Bucks County Commissioners and Chief Operating Officer, Margie McKevitt, were recently given Project Search Caring Community Awards for their commitment to the Project SEARCH internship program which pairs adults aged 18-31 with various Bucks County Government Departments with the goal of competitive employment,” the local government said on social media.

Both based in Doylestown, the government and the educational service agency have worked to ensure that everyone in the area is able to find work.

“People with disabilities can accomplish anything if given the opportunity, thank you for the opportunity,” said David Fox, a trainer with Project SEARCH Skills.
