The startup offers a wide array of vegan treats for everyone.

A startup in Bucks County has recently been selected for a major program geared at helping small businesses get a kickstart. Lisa Dukart wrote about the local business owner for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Dr. Brownies, a dessert start-up based in Richboro, was recently selected for Target Forward Founders’ retail accelerator program. The local company was among 30 businesses added into the program.

Owned and operated by Toni Lorraine Johnson, her startup was one of 14 food-based companies selected into this quarter’s program.

Johnson’s recipes are all vegan-friendly and made to be a healthier version on the common sweets while never compromising on flavor. The company is looking to make their way into major retailers like Whole Foods and Sprout’s, while Johnson is also eyeing her products making their way into catering operations and universities for students.

The company offers products like mini brownie bites, brownie and cake jars, cookies by the dozen, brownie pops, and cakes, to name a few.
