A school district in Bucks County is mourning the loss of a beloved bus driver, who representatives said “brightened our students’ days”.

Nicole DeVincent, a bus driver for the Bristol Township School District, recently passed away after beating esophageal cancer weeks prior. She is survived by her husband, her son and daughter, and her two grandchildren.

“Nicole was a caring bus driver who brightened our students’ days, and a wonderful colleague and friend,” said Traci Williams, the school district’s Director of Transportation. “We will all miss her and remember her in our hearts.”

The school district’s Crisis Team, counselors and emotional support staff have been made available to support families, students and staff who are processing the loss of DeVincent.

Born in Bristol, she was a resident of the area for most of her life. “She enjoyed painting ceramics, gardening, but most especially cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren,” her obituary reads.
