A beloved tradition amongst locals and visitors, tubing down the Delaware is a must for the full Bucks County experience.

A Delaware River tubing trip is a great way for an entire family to spend a warm summer day enjoying the great outdoors in Bucks County. Cathy Bennett Kopf wrote about the fun activity for She Buys Travel.

Bucks County River Country is one company that you can turn to when planning an exciting but also relaxing outing. The best time to book a trip is in summer, when the water is at its higher levels and temperatures are warmer. However, excursions are also available from mid-spring until mid-fall.

A cruise down the Delaware River usually takes about three hours, but the trip can be prolonged by a slow-moving river.

Tubing is not only a great activity for families. It can serve as a perfect background for a girls’ trip or corporate team-building outing. You can make sure that all members of your group stay together with help from handy stay-together straps.

After your tubing trip is over, there are plenty of things to visit in the surrounding areas, including Washington Crossing Historic Park, which marks the spot where General George Washington crossed the Delaware River and turned the tide of the Revolutionary War.
