Following a Festive St. Paddy’s Weekend, Newtown Pub Takes Day Off, Has Bar Blessed

After one of the most festive weekends of the year, a bar in Bucks County is taking the day off, and they had their business blessed to boot.
The Green Parrot Restaurant Pub & Patio, located at 212 North Sycamore Street in Newtown, decided to close for a day in order to give its staff a chance to recoup from the long St. Patrick’s Day weekend. Over the weekend, the popular pub had Rev. Fr.
Kyle Adamczyk of the nearby St. Andrew’s Catholic Church come by and bless the bar area.
“Thank you Fr. Kyle for blessing the New Bar!” the bar said online.
A longtime favorite spot in the small town, the bar has been in operation for over a decade. It is named after the Green Parrot Inn, a once-popular spot in the area.
“With our inviting, friendly atmosphere, and delicious pub-style cuisine, The Green Parrot has fast become a favorite restaurant destination for both locals and visitors alike,” the bar said online.
