The holiday is well-known for its colorful celebrations.

A popular restaurant in Bucks County is preparing for another spectacular event that will celebrate a beloved and festive holiday.

Guru’s Indian Cuisine, located at 203 North Sycamore Street in Newtown, will be hosting their second annual Holi celebration in their parking lot on March 5. Ticket sales for the event will go to Yoga Gives Back, a non-profit organization empowering women and girls in India through project.

Holi is a holiday that originated in India and is a very important day in the Hindu religion. A well-recognized activity that takes place during Holi celebrations is the throwing of colored powders on participants in festivities; this has led to the holiday being known as the “Festival of Colors”.

“Bring your family/friends and come celebrate the Festival of Colors with us as we look forward to the arrival of Spring,” event organizers said on Eventbrite. “Enjoy music, dancing, yoga games and all round color fun!”
