A handful of organizations in Bucks County have come together in order to mitigate homelessness and aid those who are facing it.

The Bucks County Opportunity Council of Doylestown, along with the YWCA Bucks County and the Bucks County Housing Group of Warminster, came together in Doylestown for a community walk, hosted by the Coldest Night of the Year, a Canadian nonprofit that works to help aid those facing homelessness.

Those who walked donated to the cause, which will use the funds to aid those in the local community facing homelessness, especially during the colder months when being without shelter becomes increasingly more dangerous.

“We reached our fundraising goal, walked throughout the community, and fellowshipped together with warm food and drinks,” the Bucks County Opportunity Council said online.

“Thank you to all of our volunteers, sponsors, and walkers, and we can’t wait for next year!”
