America’s workplace has shifted significantly since the COVID-19 pandemic. From labor shortages to Gen Z being vocal; values in the workplace are shifting too. Here’s how to stand out as an employee or jobseeker in the ever-changing workplace.

Don’t Limit Yourself

While you may be on the hunt for the ‘perfect’ job, very rarely will one check all the boxes. Be open to applying for all jobs that appeal to you, even if you feel that you won’t be qualified.

Mentorship and Networking

Nothing gets your foot in the door easier than forging relationships and building a strong network. Try to meet colleagues who work in different departments and strike up a conversation with your teammates.

Embrace Challenges

Welcoming challenges with open arms show your team and colleagues that you’re willing to tackle tough situations.

Be Flexible

Sometimes problem-solving requires flexibility. Adaptability is a great trait to have in fluid workplace situations like start-ups, that could face unique challenges.
