Bucks County School District Appoints Former Township Police Officer as New Director

A school district in Bucks County is celebrating the swearing in of their new director, who has a previous history in the area.

Bensalem Township School District recently sworn in David Nieves, Jr. as their new director. He fills the vacancy left after the previous director moved out of the area.

Nieves has lived on the area for three decades. A graduate of Bucks County Community College, he has worked as a police officer in the area for about the same amount of time.

“Congratulations to David Nieves, Jr.!” the school district said online.

“He was sworn in at this evening’s board meeting. Mr. Nieves fills the vacancy of Mr. Michael Stewart.”

The school districted, headquartered at 3000 Donallen Drive in Bensalem, is one of the most important districts in the area. Many hope that the new appointment will allow students and staff to get a better quality of education.
