The local man celebrated his birthday and for being the first birth at the hospital.

A resident of Bucks County recently celebrated five decades of life, and one local hospital is celebrating the milestone with him.

50 years ago this week, Mark Capriotti was the first baby born at St. Mary Medical Center, located in Langhorne. Now, the hospital, along with a local politician, are celebrating the occasion.

Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick wrote about the occasion for Capriotti and the hospital online.

“50 years ago yesterday, Mark Capriotti, my fellow Sesame Place alumni colleague, was the first baby born at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne,” Fitzpatrick said. “I was so happy to join them to celebrate this historic milestone both for Mark and St. Mary’s!”

Fitzpatrick met with his colleague at the hospital to celebrate the occasion. Capriotti was acknowledged for being involved in the special moment in the hospital’s history.
