The singer will perform back-to-back shows in the area this summer.

One of Bucks County’s most celebrated singers has released a new song that commemorates her father and a former local resident. Maggie Mancini wrote about the singer’s latest song for Philly Voice.

Doylestown native Pink released “When I Get There,” a new single from her upcoming album, on Valentine’s Day as a heartfelt tribute to her late father Jim Moore.

“Sometimes love leaves us too soon,” wrote the singer on Twitter. “On Valentine’s Day, I cherish the love I have that I can touch — and the love I have in my heart for those who have gone on to the next adventure. This one’s for you, Daddy Sir.”

The song is the latest single from Pink’s long-awaited ninth studio album, “Trustfall,” which will debut on Feb. 17.

Her new album was announced in November and will feature collaborations with several artists, including The Lumineers, Chris Stapleton, and First Aid Kit.

Pink will start her Summer Carnival world tour in the United Kingdom on June 7. She will return home to Philadelphia in September, where she will hold two back-to-back shows at Citizens Bank Park on Sept. 18 and 19.
