The local student will begin at the university very soon.

A Bucks County student is one of a select few to be accepted into a major Ivy League university through a new acceptance program. Harsha Ravindran wrote about the local student for The Daily Pennsylvanian.

Paree Pasi, a senior at Central Bucks High School West, is one of five students from around the world to be admitted into the University of Pennsylvania through a new Early Decision program. Looking to study bioengineering, Pasi recently wen through an internship at the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center in Doylestown.

“I can’t wait to be a part of Penn’s community of bright, motivated, and kind individuals,” Pasi said.

“Of all the Ivy Leagues, I think Penn has the most community vibe to it. I am just really interested to meet people from different cultures and I think that Penn has such a diverse student body. I’m also really interested to see how Penn relates to the greater Philadelphia area and how Penn gives back to its community.”
