Two Bucks County organizations will be hosting festive and fun events to celebrate the Lunar New Year this weekend.
With many celebrating the Lunar New Year, or Chinese New Year, on Jan. 22, the Southampton Free Library and the Pearl S. Buck International Society will be hosting community events to help bring the magic of the occasion to Bucks County.
The library will be hosting a Lunar New Year-themed story time hour on the day of the celebration. The event will be a fun activity for children and their parents who want to celebrate the occasion and to learn more about the day’s rich history.
The Pearl S. Buck International Society, located in Perkasie, will be hosting a free and family friendly celebration at their main location. The organization’s namesake is known for her books that depicting life in rural China during her lifetime, making it an especially immersive experience.
