The water from Lake Nockamixon will help aid the local boating.

In order for Bucks County whitewater boaters to enjoy their time outdoors, a nearby lake will have water released into a local creek. Marcus Schneck wrote about the rising waters for Penn Live.

The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will be releasing millions of gallons of water from Lake Nockamixon into Tohickon Creek in Pipersville to kick off the whitewater boating that takes place there. The controlled flooding will take place from Nov. 5-6.

Boaters will take off from Ralph Stover State Park from 9 AM – 4 PM every day of the boating. Their trail can go off into the Delaware River as well.

The controlled concentration of water into the Bucks County creek will allow a beloved tradition to continue in the area.
