A powerful politician from Bucks County recently met with small business owners to discuss post-pandemic business plans in the area. Staff writers at the Lower Bucks Times wrote about the recent roundtable.

U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick recently visited Hatboro, where he took part in a roundtable with local small business owners who are also 10,000 Small Businesses alumni. The group talked about the economic challenges that are still having an impact on small businesses as they continue to recover from the pandemic.

Among the small business owners were Iveta Gigova of ArcheWild in Quakertown, Bose Houser of Rocks & Cornerstones in Bensalem, and Shaheed Smith of SAS Geospatial in Warrington.

The discussed issues included workforce challenges, access to affordable capital, access to quality child care, as well as competing with larger businesses for contracting opportunities that are provided by the government.

“Over the last several years, our local businesses have been adversely impacted and had to make difficult decisions in the face of extraordinary challenges,” said Fitzpatrick. “The 10,000 Small Businesses Program has done an outstanding job assisting many small businesses throughout our country at a time when business capital was much needed.”
