Upcoming Tour at Washington Crossing Park To Discuss Namesake’s Harrowing Mission Over the Delaware River

The park will celebrate the namesake event that changed the history of America.

An historic Bucks County park will be celebrating one of the most famous moments in American history that took place in the area. Jeff Werner wrote about the upcoming event for the New Hope-Lambertville Patch.

A bus tour, titled “Traversing the 10 Crucial Days”, will take attendees through the nearby area to important spots that are connect to George Washington’s crossing of the Delaware, which took place in the namesake Bucks County town over into New Jersey on Christmas Day in 1776.

The tours will be offered on Dec. 4 and 10, as well as on Jan. 7, from 9 AM – 5 PM; tickets are $150 per person and includes bus fare, lunch and donations to the Friends of Washington Crossing Park, the Washington Crossing Park Association in New Jersey, the Old Barracks Museum in Trenton, and the Princeton Battlefield Society.
