Bensalem Elementary Students Learn To Dance in Honor of Latin American Heritage Month

A Bucks County elementary school recently took part in a unique cultural celebration with several students from a nearby high school.

Students at Benjamin Rush Elementary School recently learned Latin dances to celebrate Latin American Heritage Month, otherwise known as Hispanice Heritage Month. With students from a nearby high school there to help, the young students learned a cultured dance will having fun in the process.

“In honor of Latin American Heritage month, Rush second grade received a special visit from some Bensalem High School students today,” the middle school said online.

“The BHS students taught the children various types of Latino dances including the Wapunga,Bachata and the Cumbria to name a few. Our children saw demonstrations by the high schoolers then had a chance to practice their own skills. What a treat!”
