A popular radio host will be discussing Newtown Borough’s history at a speaking engagement in the area next week. Jeff Werner wrote about the event for the Newtown, PA Patch.

Marty Moss-Coane, a Newtown resident and the host and executive producer of WHYY-FM’s “Radio Times,” will host a speaking event about the Borough’s history on Oct. 1.

“This event will transport guests back to Newtown’s past through the eyes of those who lived it,” said Andrew Smith, executive director of the Newtown Theatre. “We think it will be a very special and very memorable night.”

The event will take place at the theatre, which is located at 120 N. State Street.

“A Night of Newtown Memories will serve as a great complement to our annual Market Day, which will be held the next day on the streets around the Court Inn,” said Barry Fleck, president of the Newtown Historic Association. “Newtown has a rich history, and this event will bring it alive for guests.”
