Looking For a Liquor License? Bucks County is One Area Where You Can Get It At Upcoming Auction

Here is a list of the alcoholic beverages that Pennsylvania residents bought this year.

Those looking to get a liquor license in the Bucks County area can now do so thanks to an upcoming auction. Sue Gleiter wrote about the upcoming opportunity for Penn Live.

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board will be auctioning off a stockpile of expired restaurant liquor licenses to people in several counties.

While Bucks County was one of these areas, residents in Berks, Blair, Bradford, Bucks, Cambria, Carbon, Centre, Chester, Clinton, Delaware, Elk, Mifflin, Monroe, Montgomery, Montour, Northampton, Schuylkill and Wayne counties can also attend auctions for licenses.

With a minimum bid of $25,000, auctions will end at noon on Oct. 31. Licenses will then be given out on Nov. 2.

Each year, around 70 licenses would expire. Unpublished until recently, the board had no way of reselling them.
