The Bucks County park promotes inclusivity to children of all abilities.

A playground in Warrington has been working toward making itself a fun spot for children of all abilities in and outside of the Bucks County area. Matteo Iadonisi wrote about the Bucks County park for 6ABC Action News.

Lion’s Pride Park, standing not he space once used by Twin Oaks Day Camp, has been promoting itself as a welcoming place for children with special needs for years. With wheelchair-accessible areas and swings that can be used by children with special physical needs, the park has become a local haven for families looking to enjoy the outdoors.

Built up by the Warrington Lions Club, the park has had $2.5 million put into it since 2016, making it more accessible to children of all needs in the Bucks County area.

“I’m so thankful that we were a part of something where typical, different needs, special needs can all play together,” said Mariah Drenth-Cormick, who’s 17-year-old daughter with Down syndrome has been enjoying the park for years.
