The popular chain recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Newtown Township will see yet another restaurant grace the small town as a popular New Jersey seafood chain makes its debut in Bucks County. Jeff Werner wrote about the new eatery for the Newtown, PA Patch.

The Newtown Township Board of Supervisors approved the use of the former Corner Bakery Cafe location to be used as the new location for Blue Point Grill, a Princeton, New Jersey-based seafood spot.

“We have looked for a long time in Newtown and we’re really excited about this opportunity,” said Jack Morrison, the owner of the Blue Point Grill.

In the seafood business for over 40 years, Morrison will operation his latest location at 3 West Road, next door to the Township’s TD Bank location.

Fresh seafood, New England clam chowder and lump crab cakes will now be available to hungry Newtown residents. It will be right up the road from some of the town’s latest eateries, which have been popping up year after year.

Approximately 145 people will be able to fit inside, and an additional 36 people can be seated on the outside patio area.
