Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic colleges like Bucks County Community College are spiking in enrollment.

A foundation through Bucks County Community College will be rewarding several students with monetary rewards to celebrate its 40th year. Jeff Werner wrote about the prizes for the Newtown, PA Patch.

The Bucks County Community College Foundation will celebrate four decades of service to local students by giving away $100 to 40 lucky students through a raffle. Over the past year, the foundation provided students with nearly $400,000 in scholarship support. The celebration is a small way of giving back to the students who call BCCC home.

“We are excited to celebrate 40 years of philanthropic efforts to support students at Bucks,” said Dr. Felicia L. Ganther, the college’s fifth and current President. “The work our Foundation does is so critical to ensuring that every student who comes to our college has access to resources to help them cover tuition, pay for books, purchase supplies, or assist them when in crisis.”

All students who registered for the upcoming fall semester at any of the three campuses have been made eligible for the $100 rewards.
