Central Bucks East’s Patriot Stadium Lit Up for First Time Following New Light Installation

The Bucks County football field finally got new lights installed.

Central Bucks High School East’s football stadium finally had lights installed, allowing the school’s athletes to play night games. Michele Haddon wrote about and took photos of the first night game for the Bucks County Courier Times.

On Thursday, the school played their first night game at First Lt. Colby Umbrell Field at Patriot Stadium. With the installation of the new lights came the opportunity for the team and opponents to play night games for the foreseeable future.

Ryan Kelly, the Central Bucks East Athletic Director, gave remarks on the monumental moment for the school at the game.

Players, alumni, school officials and members of the community gathered on the new Buckingham field to get a feel for the new spot where the team will be playing.
