Bucks County ranked as one of the best areas in Pennsylvania to retire.

Bucks County is among the best counties in Pennsylvania where seniors can settle down and enjoy their own private oasis after a lifetime of working, according to a recently released ranking by Stacker.

Stacker compiled the ranking of the best counties to retire in the Keystone State using data from Niche. This ranked the counties based on several relevant metrics, including the cost of living, healthcare, recreation, and the weather.

Bucks County came in No. 21, dropping down one spot compared to last year.

The county has a population of 627,668 and a median home value of $340,500. The median rent is $1,252. Meanwhile, the median household income is among the highest in the state at $93,181. This is also significantly higher than the national average of $64,994.

Top places to live in the county that were awarded an A+ grade by Niche include Woodside, Buckingham Township, and Newtown Grant.

The county also received an A grade for its outdoor activities.
