Upcoming Concert Supports Quakertown Nonprofits at Free Kickoff to Summer
The June 25 “Outreach ’22” concert in Quakertown is a 3-2-1 opportunity. It assists three worthy local charities through the musical performances of two bands at one venue: the Univest Performance Center.
Best of all, the night of music comes with no admission charge.
Instead, organizers are hoping for generous donations to the three organizations the event is spotlighting:
- Quakertown Community Outreach, which steps in during residents’ most desperate moments to aid families displaced by fire or seniors facing utility shutoffs
- Pride of Quakertown, funder of scholarships for underprivileged children’s extracurricular activities
- Upper Bucks Code Blue, provider of shelter and clothing to the county’s homeless population during the bitter cold of winter
The night’s opening act is Freedom in Christ, followed by the headlining Craig Thatcher Band. Its set list is scheduled to be a mix of classic rock and blues, with some original songs tossed into the mix.
Food trucks and a 50/50 raffle are also on the program.
