CBHS - East swimmers tutored younger competitors in a recent training session.

After a two-year pandemic drought, a local high school’s swim clinic was back in the pool. The legacy educational program pairs swimmers and coaches from Central Bucks High School – East with competitors just diving into the sport. Suburban One Sports floated the story.

The tutoring session targets competitive swimmers 6–12 years old with veteran high school swimmers and their coaches. The aim is to build not only skills in the next generation but also to deepen its love of the sport.

Team captain Abbie DiGregorio benefited from this exact kind of sharing as an up-and-comer. “I looked up to the high school swimmers, and they motivated me to work hard so I could swim at the high school level,” she said.

The lesson plans covered everything from launching a killer start off a block to navigating powerful underwater turns. Stroke reviews included freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.

“This clinic is a great warmup for kids looking to try out for a summer swim team or just shake the rust off as [they] head into the season,” added team captain Zack LeMay.

More information on the pooled advice imparted at this swim clinic is at Suburban One Sports.
