The Cloak and Wand, a retail site with a deep, fantastical theme, is coming to Peddler's Village this June.

By mid-summer 2022, visitors to Peddler’s Village will be able to practice casting spells and then wine-toast their magical outcomes. The robes-rosé mashup comes from the opening of two new shops in the Lahaska destination: The Cloak and Wand and Nissley Vineyard.

The former is a fantasy store from appropriately named Mystic, Conn. The latter is Lancaster County winery.

The Cloak and Wand stocks, yes, cloaks and wands but also brooms, books, enchanted plants, magical items, and apparel. An interesting feature is the “potion bar,” which will serve specially brewed concoctions. The themed retail experience will materialize next month.

Nissley Vineyards, the third-generation family-owned winery, will welcome its first oenophiles in July.

It offers a full portfolio of wines, ranging from sweet blends to premium barrel-aged varietals. Stock will also include fun additions such as canned sparkling wines, wine slushies, and specialty wine.

“We couldn’t be happier about the addition of these two inventive and forward-thinking businesses to our lineup of specialty shops in Peddler’s Village,” said Bob McGowan, the tourist mecca’s chief operating officer.

“Both The Cloak and Wand and Nissley Vineyards have impressive track records in other locations of drawing first-time visitors. They’re also very adept in providing a high level of customer service and cultivating longtime relationships, which is a very important part of the Peddler’s Village ethos,” he summed up.
