Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce Holds Cultural Events: One Virtual; One Live
With the last of the spring chill finally receding locally, the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce is anticipating the coming days of summer. In its effort to spark connections, especially with the arts, the organization announces two public programs.
The first is the annual Bucks Fever Artists’ Studio Tour.
This chance to peek over the shoulder as local artisans ply their crafts is weather independent: It’s all online. So, a passing shower or even a late-spring heatwave are no impediment.
The craftspeople involved in the 2022 edition, which went live May 13 and remains so, are:
- Laura Bray, Pipersville muralist
- Wendy Weckerly, Doylestown furniture restorer
- Pat Proniewski, Trenton landscape/floral painter
- Andrea Carlson, Doylestown musician and sketch artist
- Bucks County Woodright, Sellersville woodworkers and furniture makers
- Kim Baldwin, Doylestown encaustic painter, a wax-based method of painting
- Jean-Marc Dubus, Langhorne muralist
- Susan Anderson, crafter of homemade jewelry
The second cultural opportunity — the outdoor one — is the annual Brown Bag-It with the Arts.
The performances occur each Wed., noon to 1 p.m., at the courthouse lawn of the Bucks County Administration Building, Doylestown.
