Doylestown Hospital Recognized by Newsweek as One of the Best Hospitals Worldwide for 2022
Doylestown Hospital has been ranked seventh in the state and 119th in the nation on Newsweek’s 2022 list of World’s Best Hospitals. It is one of only 25 healthcare facilities from the state to be elevated to a slot on the national list.
“We are honored that our tradition of excellence is recognized on the list of World’s Best Hospitals,” said Jim Brexler, President and CEO of Doylestown Health.
“For nearly 100 years we have provided exceptional care to our growing community, with a team that lives and breathes a culture of quality every day. Especially during the pandemic, Doylestown Hospital’s dedicated caregivers met every challenge with the quality and compassion that is our trademark.”
The award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., a statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The full awards list is available online.
Newsweek and Statista developed a complex methodology to ensure the quality and validity of the ranking. Three data sources were used for the evaluation:
- Hospital recommendations from peers: An international online survey was sent to more than 80,000 doctors, hospital managers, and healthcare professionals
- Patient experience: Surveys measuring patient satisfaction with hospitals
- Medical key performance indicators: Patient safety, hygiene measures, and quality of treatment
The World’s Best Hospitals 2022 recognizes the best medical institutions across 27 countries: USA, Canada, Germany, France, UK, Switzerland, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Australia, Israel, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Thailand, Italy, Brazil, India, Spain, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Colombia, Austria, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
Last year, Newsweek ranked Doylestown Hospital as eighth in the state and No.142, indicating the improvement in its ratings year-over-year.
