Mission BBQ's Warminster location will no longer be the chain's solo Bucks County presence.

Mission BBQ, the quick-service chain known for both its savory meats and its business model of veteran support, is planning a second Bucks County location. The Bucks County Courier Times served up the details.

Township supervisors recently okayed the chain’s intent to convert part a former clothing retail store to its new food-service site. The eatery will sit near the intersection of Commerce Blvd. and Oxford Valley Road, near Sesame Place and Jefferson Bucks Hospital.

The expansion increases the brand’s in-county presence to two; Mission BBQ also has a site in Warminster.

This new location will have covered outdoor seating, as well walk-in, takeout, curbside pickup, and dine-in options.

Mission BBQ started in the aftermath of 9/11 by Bill Kraus and Steve Newton. They sought a way to meld their talents with slow-cooked meats with a deep sense of patriotism. A commitment to ongoing support of the military and first responders in the markets in which they operate is woven into its business plan.
