Quick Action from a Bucks County Officer Ensures Joyous Christmas for Tullytown Family
The quick-thinking action of a Bucks County officer recently saved a newborn, sparing his family a grief-filled holiday season. The 6abc digital staff presented the story.
Tullytown Officer Nate Aldsworth responded to a 911 call of an unresponsive newborn on November 24.
The plea for help came from the baby’s mother, who discovered to her horror that the child, Zachary, was not breathing.
Aldsworth arrived on the scene and immediately began CPR on the newborn. His bodycam captured the life-saving measure.
Moments later, Zachary began breathing again.
“It was the most stressful call that I’ve been on in my 17 years,” Officer Aldsworth said. “When he opened his eyes, it was the most relief I had — and maybe one of the most happiest moments of my life, when he opened his eyes.”
Baby Zachary was first rushed to Hopewell Hospital, N.J. He was then transferred to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where doctors determined that he had suffered a seizure.
Mom says Zachary is doing much better and is back at home.
