Newtown Creative Wordsmith Named 2021 Bucks County Poet Laureate

Nicole Steinberg, Newtown resident and Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Moore College of Art and Design, has earned the title of 2021 Bucks County Poet Laureate.

In the 45th edition of the evaluation of local writers’ work, Steinberg rose to the top among dozens of entrants.

She has written two books of poetry (Glass Actress and Getting Lucky) as well as numerous smaller works.

Steinberg has an MFA in poetry from The New School in New York City and a BA in creative writing from Brandeis University.

In addition to many journal publications, her work has been featured or reviewed in The New York Times and Newsweek.

She also serves on the board of the American Poetry Review.

Steinberg will be honored as Bucks County Poet Laureate with a reading at the Bucks County Community College Newtown Campus on Nov. 14. The reading, which is open to the public, will also be broadcast via Zoom.
