To determine its ranking, Niche compared counties nationwide based on metrics that includes:

- Cost of living
- Job opportunities
- Local amenities
Bucks County ranked as the sixth-best county to live in Pennsylvania and at No. 168 nationwide.
The county earned its high rank because of its excellent schools, abundant outdoor places to enjoy, healthy residents, and plentiful job opportunities — especially for young professionals.
It is also more diverse than the majority of Pennsylvania counties and a great place to raise a family.
The county’s cost of living is on the higher side, with a median home value of $330,600. That price point is significantly above the national median of $217,500.
But our earning potential is also above par. The Bucks County workforce averages a household income of $89,139, while national average currently stands at $62,843.
